Hotel Europa has been operating for approximately 17 years.
The startup of the company was made by the Spiliopoulos family in 1988 with the construction of the first 42 room capacity building which includes restaurant, bar, swimming-pool, tennis court, and traditional Greek tavern.
In 1992 the company decided to enter the largest chain of hotels worldwide which is no other than the "Best Western International" chain.
This proved to be a successful move. Later in 1998 wanting to expand the company built a second complex, with 28 rooms and 2 suites, next to the existing one. The new complex includes a bar, as well as Internet facilities.
The clients of the new complex use the central wing of the hotel for breakfast, dinning, swimming-pool and tennis.
By entering the rooms, one may distinguish the particularity in their construction. This is because one has to walk down 2 steps from the bed-room in order to move to the sitting room and the balcony.
All rooms are air-conditioned, have satellite TV, music (3 channels), refrigerator (most of the rooms), a safe, direct dial phone, balcony, and marble WC.
The suites comprise of 2 rooms one of which is the main suite with a large balcony, spacious living room, and all the above particularities.
The suite rooms are connected via an internal door, which makes them ideal for large families.
Driving to Olympia by car is probably the easiest way to get hotel. The are two routes available if your starting point is Athens:
The first is via Patras (334km). This is the road used by most travelers because it is close to the sea and you have some very beautiful imagery throughout the journey. All you have to choose is the direction of Patras, then follow on to Pyrgos, and then Olympia.
The second one is via Tripoli (323km). This route will take you through the mountains of Korinthia, through Artemisio tunnel, and then down hill from there through the mountains of Arkadia. This trip is more demanding as there are more twists and turns to the road, but it is definitely a very wild and beautiful road to travel.
